WEEK 4
This article covers the University of Vermont’s men’s basketball upset against the number one seeded Bryant University. UVM came in ranked as the third seed on this past Friday, the 21st of February. In their prior matchup this season, Bryant dealt with UVM handing the Cat’s a 20-point loss. They began this game on that same trend starting the game off 14-4. UVM was then able to go on a ten-point run of their own and would end the first quarter at an even 20-20. The second quarter though, belonged to the Bulldogs as they entered halftime up 33-30. From the beginning of the second half, the lead went back and forth. But as it came down to crunch time, Bryant missed four key free throws which allowed Vermont to keep their two-point lead. The game was capped off with a dunk at the buzzer from senior forward Ileri Ayo-Faleye. UVM rises to the 2nd seed in the American east standings, right on the heels of Bryant who remains number 1 as they are one win ahead of Vermont.
This is an interesting story covering love languages. Or more specifically which one you as the reader fit into and gives some context for why you may fall into certain categories when it comes to love languages. There are five love languages mentioned in the article, physical touch, words of affirmation, quality time, receiving gifts, and acts of service. The author then goes into specific reasons as a species we end up in these categories, mostly being psychological reasons. All these psychological reasons are covered and accompanied with a reliable study to back them. This piece caught my eye and for good reason. It not only taught me a little about how my own brain works but how others do as well, not just romantically as well, these languages apply to family and friends as well.
