When it came to individualized error I mostly relied on my revision process with Professor Brod. The process started with going through my work, taking turns reading out loud. This allowed us to physically work out sentences that not only had grammatical issues, but also just didn’t necessarily sound right regardless of grammatical issues being present or not. Additionally, I would like to think it’s fair to say all of us heavily rely on the software we are using to help with basic misspelling and other grammar problems whether that be misplaced punctuation or specifically on word, entire sentence reframing.

The recursive process in English 110 worked to underline the difference between global and local revisions. Prior to this class I was unaware of the difference and had no idea of any sort of categorization when it came to revisions. In editing other people’s work I was able to understand what worked for that specific essay and what didn’t at a level of detail I couldn’t have reached without doing said revision. When given feedback, it helped me to broaden and deepen the level of detail in my personal essays.
